Mr. Damon Lovett, age 87, of Almo, Kentucky died on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee
He was retired as a building contractor; he was a member of the Murray First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Lovett was born in Hico, Kentucky on August 23, 1928 to the late Homer Gentry and Erma Lee Parrish Lovett. In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Bobbie Laird Lovett and two brothers, Wendell and Joel Lovett.
He is survived by one daughter, Connie Featherstone and husband David of Murray, Kentucky; three sons, Randy Lovett of Nashville, Tennessee, Don Lovett and wife Nancy of Murray, Kentucky and Larry Robin Lovett and wife Cathy of Merritt Island, Florida; one sister, Laura Andrus of Murray, Kentucky; four brothers, Ted Lovett and wife Nancy of Murray, Kentucky, Lamon Lovett and wife Sue of Murray, Kentucky, Rudy Lovett and wife Gwen of Murray, Kentucky and Cecil Lovett and wife Twila of Murray, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Brennan Miller and Addison Miller both of Murray, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, February 21, 2016 at the Murray First United Methodist Church. Rev. Jim Stahler and Dr. Rick Dye will officiate with burial to follow in the Coles Campground Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
