Mr. Danny Steve Champion, age 61, of Murray, Kentucky died On Wednesday, September 2, 2015 in Murray, Kentucky

Mr. Champion was born on November 3, 1953 in Murray, Kentucky to the late William Champion and Neva (Garland) Champion. He was the owner and operator of Champion and Sons Trucking and a member of the Green Plain Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Champion Hayes.

Mr. Champion is survived by his wife Teresa Champion of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Corey Champion of Nashville, Tennessee; two step- sons, Jimmie Colson of New Concord, Kentucky and Bradley Colson of Murray, Kentucky; and one grandchild, Alicia Champion of Nashville, Tennessee; and one step grandchild, Hunter Colson of Barlow, Kentucky; as well as several cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Bazzell Cemetery with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
