Mrs. Dardanella Redick Durham, age 92, of Murray, Kentucky died Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
She was retired from DuPont in Chattanooga Tennessee after 25 years of service; she was a longtime member of the Temple Hill United Methodist Church; she was active in the Democratic Party; she was a sponsor of the World's Children Association.
She was born in Cadiz, Kentucky on August 12, 1922 to the late James C. and Lurline Sanders Redick. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Carl B. Durham as well as three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Frances Cummings of Old Hickory, Tennessee and Teresa Bell of Dexter, Kentucky; one sister, Betty Jo Minton of Bowling Green, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Kimberly Warden, Heather Cummings and Zachary Bell; three great grandchildren, Jeremiah Taylor, Christian Warden and Trey Warden; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Friday, December 12, 2014 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Kendrick Lewis and Bro. Steven Howe will officiate with entombment in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5:00 – 8:00 pm Thursday, December 11, 2014.
