Darrel Clark

                Mr. Darrel Gene Clark, age 77 of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at his home.

            Mr. Clark was a life-long farmer, which he had a love and passion for. Mr. Clark throughout his career of farming was recognized and received several awards for his farming accomplishments.  He was a previous employee of Emerson Electric in Paris, Tennessee and a postal carrier for the Unites States Postal Service. Mr. Clark was well known for his woodworking abilities, building anything from furniture to bird houses. He was a member of the South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men. Mr. Clark served the church in many different positions, including serving as a Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Youth Director, a Church Council Chairman, and the Church Choir.

            He was born in Murray, Kentucky on October 20, 1945, to the late Robert Otho Clark and Sunshine Phillips Clark.

            Mr. Clark is survived by his wife Dianne Scott Clark of Murray, Kentucky, to whom he married on June 26, 1965; one son, Darren Scott Clark and wife Valerie of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Robert Clark and wife Judy of Murray, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Darrah Jackson and husband Cody and Sunny Clark of all of Murray, Kentucky; as well as one great grandchild, Walker Clark Jackson of Murray, Kentucky.

            The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church. Rev. David Allbritten will officiate, and burial will follow in the South Pleasant Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. There will also be a visitation at South Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church prior to the service on Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
