Mr. David Carl Hall, 57, of LaVergne, TN, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father, Lake E. Hall; and his mother, Leetie Hughes Hall. David is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Trish; his step son, Sean Garrett; and an extra special member of the family "Ramses" (the family Pomeranian). He is also survived by 2 sisters-in-law, 2 brothers-in-law; several aunts & uncles; and numerous cousins, who loved, revered and respected him, and with whom David lovingly and cheerfully shared his life. In college, David achieved a double major in English and graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Murray State University in 1976. After graduating, he began his career in broadcasting which spanned the next 35 years. His voice was well known throughout the Mid South and beyond. For the past 19 years, he has been THE face and THE voice of Nashville rock radio and Lightning 100. To his family, David will always be loved and remembered for his gentle loving soul, his indomitable spirit, and his courage. He was an honorable man. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 8, 2012, from 2 – 8 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, HICKORY CHAPEL, 5852 Nolensville Road, Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 10, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the J. H. Churchill Funeral Home, 201 South Third Street, Murray, KY. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. – until funeral hour on Friday at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens in Murray, KY. Family will serve as Pallbearers.
