Mr. David Harrington age 64, of Murray, Kentucky, died Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
David was born August 5, 1950, in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late Edward Rudolph and Joann Kelley Harrington. He was currently serving as the Calloway County Attorney, and had done so for five terms, one as an assistant. David was the longest serving Calloway County Attorney. He was a graduate of Mayfield High School, Murray State University, and the University Of Kentucky School Of Law. He was also a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Harrington of Murray, Kentucky, they married February 18, 1972 in Sedalia, Kentucky, three daughters, Elizabeth Harper and husband Eric of Louisville, Kentucky, Lynda Shutt and husband Brant of Murray, Kentucky, and Kimberly Sexton and husband Tim of Memphis, Tennessee, two brothers, Alan Harrington and wife Christy of Paducah, Kentucky, and Richard Harrington and wife Listy of Murphysboro, Tennessee, three grandchildren, Kyra, Kenna, and Kason Shutt all of Murray, Kentucky.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 16, 2014 at the Glendale Road Church of Christ, John Dale will officiate, and burial will follow in the Antioch Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, August 15, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, and Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 12 noon till funeral time at the Glendale Road Church of Christ.
David will always be remembered for his last gift of generosity, being a tissue and organ donor.
