Ms. Deborah Renee Black, age 62, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Greenacres Healthcare in Mayfield, Kentucky.
Ms. Black was born in Murray, Kentucky, on November 7, 1958, to the late Edgar and Mary Lou (Anderson) Rhodes. Ms. Black was involved in clerical work and was a member of the Kirksey Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Black was preceded in death by her grandparents, Pete and Tippy Rhodes and Alfred and Helen Anderson.
Ms. Black is survived by her son, Chandler Black of Clifton, Virginia; one brother, Eddie Rhodes and wife Kay of Knoxville, Tennessee; and her lifelong friend, Vickie Housden of Murray, Kentucky.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at 2:30 p.m., at the Murray City Cemetery with Bro. Gary Vacca officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service on Thursday, September 30, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Active pallbearers will be Ricky Rhodes, Greg McNutt, Travis Stirewalt, Tim Forth, Austin Eaves, and Tony Melton. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Irby and Roger Rhodes.
