Dehlwyn "Dude" (Bob) Thomas, Jr.

Mr. Dehlwyn "Dude" (Bob) Thomas, Jr., age 85, of Murray, Kentucky, died Monday, April 23, 2018 at his home.

Mr. Thomas was born July 13, 1932 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Dehlwyn Thomas, Sr. and Genevieve Ross Thomas. Mr. Thomas was retired from Caterpillar. He was a member of St. Leo's Catholic Church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Mother Theresa Assembly #2673. Mr. Thomas was an Air Force Veteran.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Thomas; one son, John Thomas; and three sisters, Katherine Payne, Evelyn Wonnacott, and Sally Thomas.

Survivors include his loving wife, Rose Mary Cansino Thomas, to whom were married on August 29, 1998 in Aurora, Illinois; three daughters, Nancy Jorgensen of Maywood, Illinois, Linda Lee Thomas of Coal-City, Illinois, and Jana Thomas of Sycamore, Illinois; one son, Robert Raymond Thomas and wife Linda of Naperville, Illinois; three step-sons, Douglas Byers and wife Jennifer of Mescalero, New Mexico, Christopher Byers and wife Michelle of Troutman, North Carolina, and David A. Villegas of Aurora, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Valerie Jorgensen, Sonja Jorgensen, Danielle Thomas, Britney Thomas, Erin Coles, Sarah Coles, and Christopher Puppel; six step-grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the St. Leo's Catholic Church with Father Eugene Batungbacal officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the St. Leo's Catholic Church.
