Mrs. Deloris (Cleaver) Lyons, age 88, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.
Mrs. Lyons was born on May 15, 1931, in Almo, Kentucky to the late Everett Cleaver and Ora Lee Anna Cleaver. She retired in 1988 as an operating nurse with the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Granite City, Illinois and was of the Church of Christ Faith. After retirement she worked and volunteered at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lee Lyons; as well as her siblings, Lavern, Otto, Ophus, Dortha Mae, Eulain, Cecil, Reva Inez, Mavis Nadeen, Imogene, and Donald.
Survivors include two sons, Monte Lyons and wife Terry of Paragould, Arkansas and George Lyons and wife Carrie of Murray, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Lee Lyons of Atlanta, Georgia, Luke Lyons of Arkansas City, Kansas, Vanessa Lyons of Princeton, North Carolina, Jesse Lyons of Paragould, Arkansas, Kady Allgood of Murray, Kentucky, and Natalie Cuzzilla of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; as well as eight great-grandchildren.
Due to the current pandemic of the Coronavirus there will be no public service or visitation held. Mrs. Lyons will be buried in the Murray City Cemetery.
