Don R. Newberry

Mr. Don R. Newberry, age 77, of Murray Kentucky, died Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Newberry was born May 16, 1937 in Trigg County, Kentucky to the late Milton "Jack" and Maggie Neebles Newberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia Gibson and Dot Turner, brother, Hubert Newberry.
Mr. Newberry was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, and was retired from Fisher-Price Mattel, as the director of safety and health for 28 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Murray, and the Harmony Sunday school class. He was also a member of Murray Masonic Lodge F&AM 105.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Elkins Newberry of Murray, Kentucky, they married April 16, 1964 in Almo, Kentucky, brother, Jackie Newberry and wife Debbie of Murray, Kentucky, three special nephews, Ron Barnett and Randy Barnett both of Murray, Kentucky, and Ronnie Newberry of Troy, Tennessee, and also several other nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Boyd Smith, Rev. Keith Inman, Rev. Kerry Lambert, and Bro. Ronnie Newberry will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 5-9 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Masonic rites for Mr. Newberry will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. also at funeral home.
