Mr. Donald William Senf, age72, of Murray Kentucky, died, 3:00 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2011 at his home.
He was a retired Kentucky State Police senior investigator/bomb technician with 35 year law enforcement career. Graduate of Kentucky Wesleyan with a bachelor of science in economics. Was a graduate of the University of Louisville Southern Police Institute, was appointed as a Kentucky Colonel by Governor Paul Patton. Was a Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness. Born August 3, 1938 in Kenmore, New York.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Senf of Murray, Ky., two sons, Donnie Senf, and Robert Warren Senf both of Murray, Ky., step daughter, Cheryl Cashon (Jeff) of Mayfield, Ky., sister, Linda Mott of Tucson, Az., Step grandson, Judah Cashon of Mayfield, Ky.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Henry Senf, mother, Marjorie L. Leininger Church, step father, Winton Church.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness Murray, Ky., a reception will follow at the Weaks center.
