Donald "Don" Steffey

Mr. Donald S. "Don" Steffey age 68, of Murray, Kentucky, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at his home.
Mr. Steffey was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on November 14, 1945 to the late Elbert C. Steffey and Vera "Burlene" (Melton) Steffey. Mr. Steffey retired as the nursing supervisor at the Murray Calloway County Hospital after 30 years of service. Mr. Steffey was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, the Murray Lions Club and was a veteran of the U.S. Airforce and the U.S. Navy.
In addition to his parents Mr. Steffey was preceded in death by one son, D.J. Steffey; and by two brothers, Jimmy and David Steffey.
Mr. Steffey is survived by his wife, Janice Steffey of Murray, to whom he married on April 7, 1973 in Hardin, Kentucky; two sons, William M. Steffey of Orlando, Florida and Michael C. Steffey and wife Chrissy of Ringgold, Georgia; as well as three grandchildren, Abby Steffey, Nathan Steffey and Sarah Steffey.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Brother Sammy Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnett Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
