Donna Kaye Thurmond

. Mrs. Donna Kaye Humphrey Thurmond, 69, of Murray, KY died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at the Murray - Calloway County Hospital.

Mrs. Thurmond was born on February 24, 1943 in Marshall County, KY to the late Rex Humphrey and Ruby Rule Humphrey. Mrs. Thurmond worked at the Murray Wal-Mart Super Center before retiring.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thurmond was preceded in death by her husband, Edd "Hamburger" Michael Thurmond, who died in 2009; and by three brothers, Kenny Humphrey, Jerry Humphrey and Joe Neal Humphrey.

Mrs. Thurmond is survived by two daughters, Melissa Bevil and Tina Hodges both of Murray; one son, Dennis Thurmond and wife Penny of Murfreesboro, TN; one sister, Diane Butler of Paducah, KY; four brothers, Ronnie Humphrey and wife Nancy of Benton, KY, Rexie Dale Humphrey and wife Rheaneita of Kirksey, KY, Carlis Humphrey of Possum Trot, KY and Michael Humphrey of Marshall County, KY; four grandchildren, Sarah Hodges, Dustin Bevil, Courtney Hodges all of Murray, and Ella Thurmond of Murfreesboro, TN.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 12:30 p.m. at the Murray City Cemetery with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
