Donnie Dale Duncan

              Mr. Donnie  Dale Duncan, age 78, of Dexter, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, September 22, 2023, at his home.

          Mr. Duncan was born in Dexter, Kentucky, on May 26, 1945, to the late Treamon Duncan and Freddie  (Bizzell) Duncan. Mr. Duncan retired from General Tire in Mayfield, Kentucky and was a tobacco farmer for many years. He was a member of the Independence United Methodist Church and had been given the honor of being named an Honorable Kentucky Colonel.

          In addition to his parents, Mr. Duncan was preceded in death by his three sisters, Evelena Barnett, Nadine Hill, and Modene Brown.

          Mr. Duncan is survived by his wife, Brenda (Parker) Duncan of Dexter, Kentucky, to whom he married on July 1, 1967, at the Independence United Methodist Church in Dexter, Kentucky; one daughter, LaDonna Roberts and husband Kyle of Dexter, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Shelby Stubblefield and husband Jason of Almo, Kentucky, Amber Bell and husband Brad of Dickson, Tennessee, Ashleigh Collins and husband Sean of Dexter, Kentucky, Emily Weatherford and husband Michael of Murray, Kentucky, and Jessica Dixon and husband Tristan of Christian County, Kentucky; as well as nine great grandchildren, Bristol Collins, Parker Stubblefield, Evan Weatherford, Kennady Stubblefield, Mia Collins, Brenlyn Bell, Zoe Weatherford, Landree Bell, and Ryman Dixon.

          The funeral service for Mr. Duncan will be held on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Rev. Kendrick Lewis and Rev. Richard Burkeen will officiate, and burial will follow in the McDaniel Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
