Dora M. Choate

Mrs. Dora M. Choate, age 78 of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.

Mrs. Choate was born on October 5, 1938 in Trigg County, Kentucky to the late Cornie Edmond Jones and Mabel Futrell Jones. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Martha Jean Choate; one son, Clifford Earl Choate Jr.; two sisters, Ruth Lilly, and Rosie Nell Jones; two grandchildren, Corey Taylor Cossey and Audre Mae Cossey.

Mrs. Choate retired from Fisher-Price Mattel and was a member of the New Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church in Canton, Kentucky.

Survivors include two daughters, Diana Barnett of Hazel, Kentucky and Caroline Adams of New Concord, Kentucky; two sisters, Linda Elkins and husband Carlos of Murray, Kentucky and Betty Hanberry of Canton, Kentucky; two brothers, Edmond Jones and wife Ginger of Murray, Kentucky and Johnny Jones of Murray, Kentucky; also surviving are three grandchildren, Hilary Harris of Murray, Kentucky, Dustin Barnett and wife Shannon of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Cohen Cossey of Murray, Kentucky; and four great-grandchildren, Hunter Harris, Luke Armstrong, Ella and Abby Harris, and Gabby Barnett.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. James Cox and Bro. Steve Hibbs will officiate, and burial will follow in the Lawrence cemetery in Cadiz, Kentucky. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 12 p.m. till 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
