Mrs. Doris Jean Boggess, age 79, of Dexter, KY died Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mrs. Boggess was born on January 20, 1933 in Calloway Co., KY, to the late Gaylon and Ruby Edith Morris Miller. Mrs. Boggess was a retired school bus driver for the Calloway County School system and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by four daughters, Pamela Buchanan and husband Donny of Murray, Patty Cossey and husband Kenneth of Murray, Donna Tucker and husband Jerry of Murray, and Alisha Adams of Almo, KY; two sons, Joey Boggess and wife Terri of Murray, and Eddie Boggess and wife Mary of Farmington, KY; one sister, Mary Clemmons of Murray, thirteen grandchildren, Jeff Durham, Ken Cossey, Jill Ramsey, Shannon Cossey, Brooke Adams, Brad Boggess, Jay Boggess, Mitchell Tucker, Brian Tucker, Taylor Boggess, Landon Boggess, Nick Adams, and Matthew Adams; as well as twenty one great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Hampton Boggess, who died on May 10, 2011; one son, Ronnie Boggess; one sister, Melba Burkeen; two brothers, Franklin and Edison Miller.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at The J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Ricky Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the Palestine Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
