Doris Irene West

Mrs. Doris I. West, age 79, of Hardin, Kentucky died on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.

Mrs. West was born in Jacksonville, Illinois on June 29, 1935 to the late James Cecil Henderson and Martha A. Leeper Henderson Dober. Mrs. West was a homemaker and had been employed by Walgreens Pharmacy in Decatur, Illinois. She was a member of the Crossroads Church of God in Mayfield, Kentucky.

In addition to her parents Mrs. West was preceded in death by her husband Jesse West who died on December 14, 2014; and by one sister, Norma A. Carmean.

Mrs. West is survived by two daughters, Debbie Plummer and husband Chuck of Hardin, Kentucky and Judy Moeller and husband Jim of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; one grandchild, Katelyn Moeller; two step grandchildren, Brian Plummer and Wes Plummer and wife Carrie; as well as five great grandchildren, and caregiver Mary Pittman of Hardin, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Allen Waid officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 prior to the funeral service from 12:00 p.m. until funeral hour (2:00 p.m.) at the funeral home. Mrs. West will be buried on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery – West in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
