Ms. Doris Williams, age 77, of Old Hickory, Tennessee formally of Murray, Kentucky, died on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Ms. Williams retired in 2013 after working as a Comp Troller for 44 years at Dwayne Taylor Chevrolet and was a member of Martins Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was born on September 29, 1939 in Carlisle County, Kentucky to the late Phineas Hobbs and Gazelle Boswell Hobbs. In addition to her parents Ms. Williams was preceded in death by two brothers, Peck Hobbs and Charles Hobbs.
Survivors include one daughter, Wanda Woods and husband Chip of Old Hickory, Tennessee; two sisters, Martha Moore of Cunningham, Kentucky and Anna Ruth Jones of Sedalia, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Alex Woods and wife Lesli of Eva, Tennessee and Abigail Woods of Tampa, Florida, two great-grandchildren, Ema Kate Woods of Eva, Tennessee and Brant Woods of Eva, Tennessee, as well several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirbyton Cemetery in Carlisle County, Kentucky. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
