Dorothy Chaney

Mrs. Dorothy Sanders Chaney, age 89, of Murray, Kentucky, died Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mrs. Chaney was born February 13, 1925, in Buchanan, Tennessee, to the late Robert Gilbert Sanders and Gladys Jackson Sanders. Mrs. Chaney was a homemaker and member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church and it's Golden Circle Sunday School Class.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Chaney was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene S. Chaney; her sister, Louise S Wallace; son-in-law, Tommy E. Vance; and grandson, Robert Thomas Vance.
Survivors include four daughters, Rita Cardenas and husband Jorge, MD of Paducah, Kentucky; Rebecca Vance of Murray, Kentucky; Anita Harper and husband Thomas "Marty" of Murray, Kentucky; and Lisa Lasher, MD and husband Blaine of Paducah, Kentucky; one son, Glen S. Chaney, MD and wife Sally, MD of Paducah, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Melissa V. Spiceland and husband Jason; John A. Vance and wife Megan; and Daniel Harper all of Murray, Kentucky; Laura Gail Kellie, MD and husband Scott, MD and John H. Chaney, MD all of Louisville, Kentucky; Anne Chaney Lasher of Paducah, Kentucky; Adriana Terry and husband Jason of Tampa, Florida; and Jorge Cardenas, Jr. of Bowling Green, Kentucky; as well six great grandchildren, Madison, Molly, and Thomas Robert Vance all of Murray, Kentucky; Ann Elizabeth and Emma Gail Kellie both of Louisville, Kentucky; and Ava Joy Terry of Tampa, Florida.
Funeral services will be held at10:00 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Brother Brad Burns officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, 201 South 3rd Street, Murray, Kentucky, 42071.
