Dorothy Sue Miller

Mrs. Dorothy Sue Miller, age 85, of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Mrs. Miller was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on July, 22, 1929 to the late Rubin Morris and Faithie (Taylor) Morris. Mrs. Miller retired from Murray State University Food Service Department after 30 years of service; of which 20 years was served as the manager of the Winslow Cafeteria. She was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her husband Jack Miller, who died on June 28, 2000; one brother, John Ed Morris and one sister, Rita McKee.

Mrs. Miller is survived by three daughters, Brenda Owen and husband Rehna of Hazel, Kentucky, Debbie Vaccaro and husband Richard of Shelbyville, Kentucky and Jackie Sue Miler of Murray; one sister, Bobbie Piotrowski of Livonia, Michigan; six grandchildren, Erin Owen Mathis of Benton, Kentucky, Devon Vaccaro Strain of Shelbyville, Kentucky, Tyler Owen of Murray, Caroline Wright of Eddyville, Kentucky, Lauren Vaccaro McCollim of Pensacola, Florida and Mia Weiland of New York, New York; as well as five great grandchildren, Miranda Mathis, Owen Mathis, Elizabeth Strain, Johnathon McCollim and Olivia McCollim.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Sugar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
