Dortha Nell Armstrong

Mrs. Dortha Nell Darnell Armstrong, 84, of Murray, Ky., died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Hickory Woods Retirement Center.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the Williams Chapel Church of Christ. She was born February 25, 1926 in Calloway Co., Ky.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Barry Glen Darnell of Lavonia, Mi., Kelly Renee Boyd of Canton, Mi., step son, Henry Armstrong of Murray, Ky., step daughter, Frances Spillman of Murray, Ky., Sister, Emma Sue Gilmer of Ala., one half sisters, Katie Casey of Dukedom, Tn., also five great grandchildren, three step grandchildren, and eight step great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Homer G. Darnell, second husband, Thomas Lee Armstrong, parents, Connie Glen, and Ellen Gladys Swift Harris, son, Billy Gene Darnell, brother, Allen Keith Harris, half sister, Glenda Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Alan Miller will officiate, and burial will follow in the Coldwater Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
