Dr. Michael Travis Ridley, age 84, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Dr. Ridley was born on April 9, 1941, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky to the late R. Travis Ridley and Rita Grace (Poe) Ridley. He graduated from the University of Louisville Dental School and did his residency in oral surgery in the United States Navy. He was a commander in the U.S. Navy and after 16 years of service he moved his family to Murray, Kentucky from Charleston, South Carolina and established a private Oral Surgery practice. He was a member of the Journey Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Carol Ridley of Murray, Kentucky; they married on December 24, 1962, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky; two daughters, Diana (Ridley) Arnett and husband Dr. Mark of Murray, Kentucky and Kelly (Ridley) Douglas and husband Chris of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Virginia Ann Stallins of Shelbyville, Kentucky; two brothers, John Ridley of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Kenneth Ridley of Dawson Springs, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Dr. Michael Todd Arnett and wife Lexi of Murray, Kentucky, Alexandra Taylor McClard and husband Chase of Murray, Kentucky, Abbey Elizabeth Cox and husband Colton of Murray, Kentucky, Kelsey Keeling and husband Luke of Farmington, Kentucky, and Andrew Douglas and wife Olivia of Bowling Green, Kentucky; as well as five great-grandchildren, River Keeling, Walker McClard, Lainey Cox, Charlie Arnett, and Chapel Keeling .
A private family service will be held.
