Durward Bennett

Mr. Durward Bennett, age 74, of Murray Kentucky, died Thursday, May 05, 2011 at 10:30 pm at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Bennett was born in Calloway Co., KY on July 26, 1936 to the late Oury Lee Bennett and Thelma Jones Bennett. Mr. Bennett was a farmer and a member of the Independence United Methodist Church.
Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife, Ann Bennett of Murray, married on May 11, 1957 in Corinth, Mississippi; one daughter, Cynthia Scott and husband Dellus of Kirksey, KY; and one sister, Wanda Thompson and husband Billy of Almo, KY; also several nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Palmer and Rev. Kendrick Lewis officiating. Burial to follow in the Brooks Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at the funeral home.
