Mr. E. Larry Hurt

Mr. E. Larry Hurt, age 88, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away, Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at his home.

          Mr. Hurt was born on February 2, 1935, in Hazel, Kentucky to the late Bill Hurt and Geneva Lawrence Hurt. He was the owner of Murray Supply Co. and a member of the Scotts Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Hurt was a United States Army Veteran and Rizpah Shriner.

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Grey Hurt; one sister-in-law, Schar Hurt; as well as one brother-in-law, Harold McReynolds.

          Survivors include his wife, Joyce Spann Hurt of Murray, Kentucky; one daughter, Cindy H. Kinsey and husband Tony of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Keith Houston and wife Amy of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Pat McReynolds of Murray, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Shawn Kinsey and wife Laurel, Max Kinsey and wife Halye, Emily Hurt Kinsey, Ryan Houston and wife Brittney, and Taylor Houston and wife Chelsey all of Murray, Kentucky; seven great grandchildren, Cora Kinsey, Ledger Kinsey, Lochlon Kinsey, Lawson Houston, Charlotte Houston, Kane Houston, and Kallie Houston all of Murray, Kentucky.

          A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the Scotts Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. John Dale will officiate. There will be no public visitation held prior to the graveside service.
