Mr. Earl Wade Norsworthy, age 84, of Murray, Kentucky died on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
Earl Wade was born on January 21, 1933 in Benton, Kentucky to William E. Norsworthy and Mattie Ethel Boggess Anderson Norsworthy. Earl Wade retired after 33 ½ years from the City of Murray Water Department and also farmed. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his second wife, Donna Jean Sheridan Norsworthy; three brothers, Ollis Anderson, Wendell Norsworthy and Boyd Norsworthy; two sisters, Mildred Lofton and Ola Darnell; a sister-in-law, Laverne Anderson; nephews, Buddy Anderson and Zane Darnell; and by a niece, Orlane Cossiboom.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Palmer Norsworthy; daughter, Kay Scarbrough of Murray, Kentucky; son, Kenneth Norsworthy and wife Treasa of Almo, Kentucky; six step children, Gregory Jones and wife Liz of Oregon, Laronda Lawson of Colorado, Tamara Uhr and husband Frank of Hawaii, Terry Sheridan of Murray, Kentucky and Gail Knight of Murray, Kentucky and Pam Ferguson of Madisonville, Kentucky; a sister, Mattie Norsworthy; sisters-in-law, Clarice Norsworthy and Dorys Norsworthy; 5 grandchildren, Blu Norsworthy and wife Miranda of Farmington, Kentucky, Will Norsworthy and wife Alyssa, Tina Myers and husband Steve of Hazel, Kentucky, Lori Bailey and husband Gary of Mt. Juliet ,Tennessee, and Cassie Cooper and significant other Ray Boggess of Murray, Kentucky; 7 step grandchildren, Evan and Eric Lawson, Curtis and Adam Jones, Lauren, Anna and Natalie Uhr; 4 great grandchildren, Koby Springer, Riot Boggess, Emily Bailey and Dreena Bailey-Gohn; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Bro. Brett Miles and Rev. Sammy Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at the funeral home.
