Earl Spann

Mr. Earl Spann, age 88, of Murray, Kentucky died, Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Spann was born September 26, 1930 in Lynn Grove, Kentucky to the late Paul Spann and Mattie Kelso Spann. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Steven Spann; sister, Ruth Warren; two brothers, Marshall Spann and Harlan Spann.
Mr. Spann was a retired Truck Driver with Preston Truck Lines and retired from the Bank of Murray. He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Verba Spann of Murray, Kentucky, they married September 2, 1949 in Corinth, Mississippi; son, Randy Earl Spann and wife Kristina of Staunton, Illinois; sister, Linda Snead of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; four grandchildren, Christopher Spann, Barbi Allen, Toni Shrum and Tyana Spann; six great grandchildren, Cody Allen, Kaitlyn Allen, Makenzie Allen, Destiny Theobold, Zachary Shrum and Dani Marie Spann.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Brett Miles will officiate, and burial will follow in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m., Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
