Edgar Thomas Smith

Mr. Edgar Smith, age 87, of Murray, Kentucky died Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Smith was born January 19, 1931 in Hamlin, Kentucky to the late Thomas Grady Smith and Rosie Mae Thomas Smith. He was a retired Auto Body Repairman for Lassiter Auto, an Army Veteran of the Korean War, and a member of the Elm Grove Baptist Church and the Steadfast Sunday School Class.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Nell Smith; one sister, Lucy Smith; four brothers, Kidell Smith, James Smith, Eugene Smith and Thomas Smith.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Adams of Murray, Kentucky and Donna D'Angelo and husband Craig of Murray, Kentucky; one son, James Edgar Smith and wife Kathy of Mayfield, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Jessie Crider and husband Justin, Nick D'Angelo, Ashley Teasley and husband Ross, David Adams, Amy Adams and husband Chace; also, two great grandchildren, Aubrey Rose Teasley and Adalyn Mae Adams.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Rev. Brad Burns will officiate, and burial will follow in the Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 12-2 p.m., at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
