Edna Fay Parks

Edna Fay Wells Parks, age 91, of Murray, KY, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at Spring Creek Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Calloway County to John and Audra Howlett Wells on January 23, 1922. She was married to Edgar Purdom Parks on April 12, 1941 in Murray. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Seaford.
Edna loved her role as a homemaker and was an excellent seamstress and cook. She relished being "Gran" to her grandson and great grandchildren and adored her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her daughter, Dr. Sandra Wells Parks, her grandson, Benjamin Charles Turnbow, his special friend, Cari Rucker, three great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Sue Lamb of Guilford, CT, and Evelyn Newport of Murray and Memphis, TN, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at J.H. Churchill Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24th, with graveside services to follow at Ivy Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. John Dale and Kerry Lambert will officiate.
