Edna Elizabeth Robinson

Mrs. Edna Elizabeth Elkins Robinson, age 88, of Murray, Kentucky, died Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the Spring Creek Healthcare Facility of Murray, Ky.
Mrs. Robinson was born on February 15, 1923, in Calloway Co., Ky., She was a retired Elementary School Teacher with 30 years of service and taught in the Calloway County School System in both Hazel and Southwest Elementary. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Murray, Ky., and the Calloway Co. Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharon Graham, (Jimmy) of Murray, one son, Charles Robinson,(Reita) of Murray, one sister, Mary Colburn,(Dr. William J. “Billy”) of Calvert City, Ky., as well as three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Robinson, her father, Rome Elkins, and her mother, Rosy Stewart Elkins, one sister, Novella Duboise, and two brothers, Beauron Elkins and Vadeau Elkins.
Funeral service for Mrs. Robinson will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, with Rev. Brett Miles and Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating, and burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery .Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2011 at the funeral home.
