Edward Carroll

Edward Carroll, age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 7, 2017. He was born in Murray Kentucky to the late Walter and Minnie Carroll.

He is survived by wife Judy Howard Carroll; son, Brian Carroll (Portia Shafer Carroll); and daughter, Kathryn Carroll Payne (Michael Payne); grandchildren Jake, Will, Emma Kate Carroll and Harrison Payne.

In addition to his parents Ed was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.

Ed received his B.S. And Master's Degrees from Murray State University where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity and ROTC. After graduating he taught school in Marion, Kentucky before joining his brother, Tommy Carroll, in a VW Car Dealership. They sold the business in 2000 and he started working at Rudolph Tire. In 2013 he moved to Nashville to be close to his family. He joined Brentwood Baptist Church in Brentwood, Tennessee and became a member of the Sonshine Class.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Murray, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and prior to the funeral service on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the First Baptist Church from 10:00 a.m. until funeral hour.
