Mr. Edward Lee "Pete" Peebles, 59, of Murray, Kentucky died November 4, 2011 at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital.
Mr. Peebles was born in Eagle Creek, Tennessee on September 19, 1952 to the late Wesley Peebles and Margaret Autrey Peebles. Mr. Peebles worked for Progress Rail Services in Mayfield, Kentucky as a heavy equipment mechanic. Mr. Peebles was an Army Veteran and was of Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Peebles was preceded in death by one son, Edward Leon Peebles; and by two brothers, Robert Lynn Peebles and Donald Ray Peebles.
Mr. Peebles is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Peebles of Murray, to whom he married on June 29, 1984; one daughter, Bonnie Fitch and husband Robert of Washington, IL; one son, Raymond Patterson and wife Donna of Murray; five sisters, Judy Medlin of Illinois, Lucy Haley of Illinois, Jane Mayberry and husband Charles of Tennessee, Shirley Rosian and husband Corey of Alabama and Brenda Pulliam and husband Bob of Alabama; six brothers, David Peebles and wife Glenda of Illinois, James Peebles and wife Carolyn of Tennessee, Jim Peebles and wife Sandy of Illinois, Adrian Peebles and wife Barb of Tennessee, Dennis Peebles of Arizona and Wesley Peebles of Arizona; five grandchildren, Jacklin Patterson, Ashley Fitch, Steven Dreibelbis, Michael Dreibelbis, Elliott Lovett and special niece, Rikki Walczak.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial to follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2011 at the funeral home.
