Mr. Edwin "Ed" Shultz, age 83, of Murray, Kentucky died Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Murray – Calloway County Hospital.
He was born December 6, 1931 in Tiffin, Ohio. He was a man of the Catholic faith. Mr. Shultz was employed in the dairy business with Meadow Gold Dairy in Ohio for 30 years before moving to Murray in 1987 to join Ryan Milk from where he retired in 1999. In retirement, Ed made his daily morning visit to Sammons Bakery where he enjoyed the friendship of many. In the afternoons, Ed took great pride working in his yard and spending time with his two wonderful grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cletus and Geneva Shultz, and brother, Louis Shultz.
Mr. Shultz is survived by his wife of 63 years, Janis Beidelschies Shultz, of Murray, Kentucky; they married on December 15, 1951 in Tiffin, Ohio; son, Scott Shultz and wife Heidi of Murray; and two grandchildren, Alex and Addie Shultz of Murray.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 19, 2015, at Walton Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore, Ohio. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Tiffin, Ohio. Visitation will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
