Mr. E.G. Chapman, 87, of Dexter, Ky., died Saturday, October 02, 2010 at 1:55 a.m. at the Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Ky.
He was a retired farmer, and was born April 12, 1923 in Calloway County, Ky.,
He is survived by two daughters, Rita Lovett (Billy Joe), and Debbie Newberry (Jackie) all of Murray, Ky., four sons, Don Chapman (Janice) of Dexter, Ky., Eddie Chapman (LaJeanna) of Kirksey, Ky., Danny Chapman (Carol) of Kirksey, Ky., Jerry Chapman (Sheryl) of Dexter, Ky., one sister, Eva Burkeen of Dexter, Ky., eleven grandchildren, Darrin Chapman, Ed Chapman, Tona Walker, Tony Lovett, Jason Chapman, Jeremy Chapman, Mitch Chapman, Valerie Enoch, Brittany Chapman, Whittany Gibson, and Chris Jones. Also 20 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruthie Lee Spann Chapman, parents, Galon and Hattie Vaughn Chapman, sister, Eulala Smith, brother, J.C. Chapman, and one grandchild, Amy Jones.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Ed Chapman will officiate and burial will follow in the Brooks Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, October 4, 2010 after 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
