Elaine Ross Jones

Mrs. Elaine (Ross) Jones, age 97, of Kirksey, Kentucky died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Towne Square Care of Puryear in Puryear, Tennessee.

Mrs. Jones was born in Metropolis, Illinois on February 25, 1920 to the late Hardin and Eula Ross. Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of the Kirksey United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dee Jones; one son, Paul Ross Jones; and by one sister, Freda Black.

Mrs. Jones is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Roberts and husband Fred of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Marilyn Brown of Paducah, Kentucky; one daughter-in-law, Anna Jones of Kirksey, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Lori Sheridan and husband Chris of Murray, Kentucky and Ray Roberts and wife Cheryl of Murray, Kentucky; five great grandchildren, Dylan Sheridan and wife Kelsey, Ethan Sheridan, Sydney Roberts, Lexan Roberts and Grayson Roberts.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Ridge Cemetery in Aurora, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 prior to the funeral service from 9:00 a.m. until funeral hour at the funeral home.
