Eleanor Josephine Cavanaugh

Mrs. Eleanor Josephine Cavanaugh age 82, of Murray, Kentucky, died Thursday, August 01, 2013 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray.
Mrs. Cavanaugh was born in Oak Park, Illinois on March 16, 1931 to the late Charles Robert Weise and Florence (Stadtler) Weise. Mrs. Cavanaugh was the co – owner and operator of KN Root Beer in Murray. She had also worked in the gift shop at the Murray Calloway County Hospital and was a Need Line volunteer from 1974 until she became ill in 2006. Mrs. Cavanaugh was a member of the St. Leo Catholic Church and was a member of the Harris Grove Homemakers.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Cavanaugh was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Cavanaugh, who died on February 7, 2013; and a grandson, Jason Linn.
Mrs. Cavanaugh is survived by two daughters, Coleen Linn and husband Gerald and Marybeth Downs and husband Stan all of Murray; one son, Charles Cavanaugh and wife Janice of LaGrange, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Brian Cavanaugh and wife Kalah, Karen Ainslie and husband Jake, Katie Trevino and husband Frank, Maggie Cavanaugh Dietz and husband Andy, Kristy Spann and husband John, Gina Harness and husband Darin, Kellie Webb and husband Brandon, Amanda Williams and husband JR; fourteen great grandchildren, Kimberly, Natalie, and Patrick Cavanaugh, Julia, Jesse and Andrew Trevino, Owen and Logan Ainslie, Tyler Cavanaugh, John Spann V, Ally Harness, Cody Williams, and Kinslee and Lanee Webb.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Father Jason McClure officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2013 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
