Elizabeth Ann Hays

Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Hays, age 92, of Murray, Kentucky died on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Brookdale Assisted living of Murray.

Mrs. Hays was born in Murray, Kentucky on January 11, 1924 to the late Hermon O. Barber and Ava (Allbritten) Barber. Mrs. Hays retired from the Murray Calloway County Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist and was a member of the University Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Hays was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Hays; one son, Keith Hays; two sisters, Rachel Gibbs and Millie Eberle; and one grandson, Eric Hughes.

Mrs. Hays is survived by three daughters, Nancy Carol Redden and husband Ric of Versailles, Kentucky, Shirley Ann Hughes of Murray, Kentucky and Mary Beth Burkeen and husband Gary of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; one son, Jim Hays and wife Janice of Murray, Kentucky; daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Hays of Murray, Kentucky; 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Charley Bazzell and Jody Burkeen officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
