Elvis Gene Lamb

Mr. Elvis "Gene" Lamb, age 62, of Murray, Kentucky, died Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Kentucky.

Mr. Lamb was born in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Elvis Lamb and Jinnie Mae (Crass) Lamb on December 9, 1952. Mr. Lamb was a member of the Kirksey Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents Mr. Lamb was preceded in death by one sister, Nellie June Simmons; one brother, Richard Lamb; and brother-in-law, Paul Hester.

Mr. Lamb is survived by two daughters, Christie Barney of Kirksey, Kentucky and Jessie Bray of Louisville, Kentucky; one son, David Lamb of Metropolis, Illinois; two step sons, Jimmy Kirksey and Jeremy Kirksey both of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Nena Hester of Kirksey, Kentucky and Lela Sellars and husband David of Moody, Alabama; one brother, Frank Lamb of Picayune, Mississippi; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild, Logan Daniel of Murray, Kentucky; special niece and caretaker, Louise Baker of Murray, Kentucky; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Kirksey, Kentucky with Rev. Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be held prior to the memorial service on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
