Euple Edwards Ward

Euple Edwards Ward, age 85, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011, at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital. She was born October 1, 1925, to the late J.O. and Burtis Burton Edwards in Calloway County, KY. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Murray, KY. She founded Needline of Murray in 1974. Helped surrounding communities begin Needline Agencies in their cities. Active in business and Professional Woman’s Club and served as president. She was elected Murray’s Citizen of the year for service to the community thru Needline.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Lydia Ward; and brother, Johnny Brent Edwards.
She is survived by husband Joe Pat Ward; daughter, Judy (Glen) Ward Grogan of Murray; son Joe D. (Beth) Ward of Murray; grandchildren, Leslee Grogan Rose of Nashville, TN, Rick (Amy) Grogan of Murray, Mitch (Kim) Grogan of Murray, Allison Ward Brown (Todd Terry) of Lexington, Lexie Ward of Murray; great-grandchildren, Zack Grogan, Savannah Grogan, Elizabeth Grogan, Lydia Grogan, Elly Grogan all of Murray, and Ella Brown Terry of Lexington, KY.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 16, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. John Dale and Jim Stahler will officiate. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery.
