Mrs. Eva Mae Brumley Alexander age 87, of Murray, Ky., died Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Spring Creek Health Care in Murray, Ky.
Mrs. Alexander was born October 31, 1926 in Clinton, Ky., to the late Chester Brumley and Lena Catron Brumley Bucy. Mrs. Alexander had worked at the Horsery Mill, as a cook for Faxon Elementary School, as a Nursery Nurse at the Murray Calloway Co. Hospital for 13 years, Fisher Price for 5 years, and was currently working as an Independent Mary Kay Beauty Consultant, for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Westside Baptist Church, Lydian Sunday school class, and the Young at Heart group.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Elbert O. Alexander, son, David Alexander, and two brothers, Carl and Ray Brumley.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Cunningham and husband Larry, of Murray, daughter in law, Donna Alexander of Clarksville, Tn., son, Ricky Alexander and wife Kathy of Murray, sister, Nell King and husband Jim of Goodlettsville, Tn., five grandchildren, Ray Alexander, Neal Alexander, Amy Mize, Tim Cunningham, and Tommy Cunningham, also four great grandchildren survive.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home, Rev. Glynn Orr, and Rev. Matt Ellis will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
