Eva Woods Hopkins

          Mrs. Eva Woods Hopkins, age 95, of Murray, Kentucky, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

            Mrs. Hopkins was born on October 10, 1928, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Gernie Boyd Woods and Zeffie Copus Woods. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Murray, Kentucky. She was a member of the Murray Women’s Club for 32 years, Calloway County Homemakers Club for 50 plus years, and a member of the Murray Quilt Lovers.

            In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hopkins; one daughter, Marilyn Miller; as well as one brother, James Woods.

            Survivors include two sons, Robert Hardin Hopkins, Jr. and wife Debbie and David Woods Hopkins and wife Linda both of Murray, Kentucky; one sister, Elizabeth Gilliam of Murray, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Cary Miller, Mark Miller, Amy Clinton, Audra Hopkins, Amber Butler, Heather Koenecke, Ashley Beggs, and Stephanie Henderson; 12 great grandchildren, Briella Hopkins, Caroline Evans, Harrison Miller, Rachel Miller, William Clinton, Meg Miller, Nicholas Clinton, Barrett Miller, Wilder Henderson, Micah Koenecke, Christian Lawson, and Landon Beggs.

            A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Brittany Sutherland officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
