Evelyn M. Johnston

Mrs. Evelyn M. Johnston, age 71, of Kirksey, Kentucky died, Friday, October 27, 2017 at her home.

Mrs. Johnston was born in Murray, Kentucky on November 25, 1945 to the late Jim Louis Donelson and Effie Odell (Chambers) Donelson. Mrs. Johnston before becoming ill was employed at Kenlake Foods. She is a member of the University Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Johnston was preceded in death by her husband, Estil Wayne Johnston, who died on August 3, 2010; and by one sister, Lynda Donelson, who died on July 20, 2010.

Mrs. Johnston is survived by two sons, William Johnston of Nashville, Tennessee and Darren Johnston and wife Tammy of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Roy Donelson and wife Barbara Jean of Murray, Kentucky; one niece, Salena Jean Bucy of New Concord, Kentucky; one nephew, Jim Louis Donelson of Murray, Kentucky; as well as one great nephew and one great niece.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Charley Bazzell and Rev. Robert McKinney officiating. Burial will follow in the Fossett Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
