Evelyn Kaye Wright

November 4, 1950 — January 22, 2017

Mrs. Evelyn "Kaye" Wright, age 66, of Hardin, Kentucky died on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Mrs. Wright was born in Trigg County, Kentucky on November 4, 1950 to the late Roy Birdsong and Velma Turner Birdsong. Mrs. Wright had worked at West View Nursing Home, now Spring Creek Health Care, and had also worked as a caregiver before coming ill. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Wright; one son, Ricky Colson; three brothers, Jim Birdsong, FM Birdsong, and Bill Birdsong, and one sister, Diane Higgins.

Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Kerr of Hardin, Kentucky; one grandchild, Kaylee Colson of Hardin, Kentucky; two sisters, Vondia Colson of Murray, Kentucky and Dorothy Nell Stroup of Benton, Kentucky; three brothers, Donnie Birdsong and wife Debbie of Hardin, Kentucky, Ronnie Birdsong and wife Karen of Almo, Kentucky and Conroy Birdsong and wife Pearl of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters-in-law, Margie Birdsong of Almo, Kentucky and Patricia Wright of Michigan; and one brother-in-law, Jamer Higgins of Hardin, Kentucky.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. A private family graveside be held at a later date.
