Evon Towery

Mrs. Evon Towery, age 81, of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at her home.
She was born on October 9, 1933 to the late Jack Breedlove and Nola Tidwell Breedlove. She was a retired Supervisor of Food Services at the Murray Calloway County Hospital for 31 years, and a member of the West Fork Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step-father Landon Carr.
She is survived by her husband, James Towery, to whom she was married on December 19, 1949 in Corinth, Mississippi, two daughters, Vicki Crick and husband Jim of Murray, Kentucky, and Janet Johnson and husband Steve of Medina, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Andrea Tubbs, Amanda McDaniel, Rebecca Winters, and Jessica Stegall, five great grandchildren, RaKeshia Riley, Morgan Tubbs, Keenan Winters, Kyra Winters and Kendrick Winters; one step-great granddaughter, Hailey McDaniel, and one great great-granddaughter, Annaliese Riley.
Funeral services will be held at 2p.m. on Monday, January 19, 2015 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Kurkandall officiating. Burial will follow at the Murray City Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
