Mr. F.H. Spiceland, Jr., age 95, of Murray, Kentucky, died at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.
Mr. Spiceland was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on October 14, 1921 to the late Foney Hubert Spiceland and Sally (Herndon) Spiceland. Mr. Spiceland retired from Penn Walt Chemical Plant in Calvert City, Kentucky and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ and a WWII Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Spiceland was preceded in death by his wife Juanita Spiceland, who died on May 18, 2004; one son, Tommy Spiceland; as well as three sisters and one brother.
Mr. Spiceland is survived by two sons, Don Spiceland and wife Jackie of Murray, Kentucky and Jerry Spiceland and wife Sandra of Chestnut Mountain, Georgia; two brothers, Bobby Dale Spiceland and wife Rosemary of Murray, Kentucky and Cecil Spiceland of Paducah, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Daniel Spiceland and wife Monica of Murray, Kentucky, Tony Bogard and wife Melissa of Murray, Kentucky and Sherrie Finley and husband Frank of Kirksey, Kentucky; as well as six great grandchildren, Danica and Dallis Spiceland, Logan and Addie Bogard and Cole and Reid Finley.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Murray City Cemetery with John Dale officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
