Mr. Frank Andruss Unruh, age 86, of Brooksville, Mississippi died on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in Verona, Mississippi.
Mr. Unruh was born in Montezuma, Kansas on November 17, 1927 to the late Peter Unruh and Dina (Buller) Unruh. Mr. Unruh worked in the maintenance department at Gulf Coast Medical Center in Wharton, Texas and before his retirement Mr. Unruh was the owner and operator of Frank's Home Bakery in El Campo, Texas. He was a member of the Harmony Mennonite Church in Murray.
In addition to his parents Mr. Unruh was preceded in death by one son, Mario Unruh; one grandchild, Chad Becker; six sisters and seven brothers.
Mr. Unruh is survived by his wife Helen Unruh of Brooksville, Mississippi, to whom he married on December 11, 1955 in Montezuma, Kansas; one daughter, Michelle Becker and husband Calvin of Mize, Mississippi; four sons, Matthew Unruh and wife Beverly of Macon, Mississippi, Monroe Unruh of Victoria, Texas, Miles Unruh and wife Kaylene of Murray, Kentucky and Merritt Unruh of Brooksville, Mississippi; daughter-in-law, Cecile Unruh of Tonasket, Washington; one sister, Vada Unruh of Montezuma, Kansas; as well as sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 10:20 a.m. at the Harmony Mennonite Church with Sam Lehman and Jeff Goertzen officiating with burial following in the Harmony Mennonite Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on September 10, 2014 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Harmony Mennonite Church.
