Franklin H. Hicks Wells

Mr. Franklin H. Hicks Wells, age 78, of Murray, Kentucky, died Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Centennial Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Mr. Wells was born April 6, 1940 in Calloway County, Kentucky to the late Franklin and Dixie Hicks Wells. He was a retired truck driver, having driven for PTL, Taylor Bus, and PPI paint paddles. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, and a member of the American Legion Post# 73. He was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church, Murray Masonic Lodge #105 F&AM, Rizaph Temple Shriners.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Billy and Gertie Wells.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Wyatt Wells of Murray, Kentucky, they married July 5, 1978 in Columbia, South Carolina; two daughters, Dixie Wells of Kirksey, Kentucky, and Sandra Chavis and special friend Linda McConnell Nashville, Tennessee; one son, Nick Wells and special friend Tammy Aldridge of Murray, Kentucky; two sisters, Frances Garrison of Murray, Kentucky and Mary Bynum and husband Harold of Murray, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Kyle McReynolds of Mayfield, Kentucky, Austin Wells of Hazel, Kentucky, Allison Wells of Murray, Kentucky and Honnah McReynolds of Kirksey, Kentucky; also four great grandchildren; five Nephews and Nieces, and several great nephews and nieces survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ivy cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Monday, March 25, 2019 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Masonic rites will be held 6 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at the funeral home.
