Freda Fay Rogers

Mrs. Freda Fay (Mayfield) Rogers, age 91, of Murray, Kentucky died on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

Mrs. Rogers was born in Calloway County, Kentucky on August 5, 1926 to the late Clarence Boone Mayfield and Larue Mae (Darnell) Mayfield. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and a member of the Glendale Road Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Kelton Rogers, who died on September 24, 2009.

Mrs. Rogers is survived by one daughter, Nancy Miller and husband James of Murray, Kentucky; two sons, Dwaine Rogers and wife Nan of Murray, Kentucky and Ralph Rogers and wife Rhonda of Murray, Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Miranda Miller, Miriam Hill, Megan Baldwin, Ricky Miller, Roger Miller, Dustin Rogers and Austin Rogers; as well as 14 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. at Murray Memorial Gardens with John Dale officiating and burial to follow. Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
