Garlene Towery

Mrs. Garlene Towery, age 74, of the Kirksey Community of Murray, Kentucky, died Wednesday, May 09, 2012 at Western Baptist hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mrs. Towery was a retired Rural Mail Carrier; member of Spring Creek Baptist Church; 1956 graduate of Brewers High School.
She was born in Brewers, Kentucky on September 14, 1937 to the late Garland and Alene Creason Woods.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Towery of Murray, Kentucky in whom she was married on December 25, 1955 in Kirksey; two daughters, Richela Carson and husband Jackie of Murray, Kentucky, Rhonda Rogers and husband Ralph of Murray, Kentucky; one brother, Gene B. Woods and wife Mary Lou of Benton, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Austin Rogers, Dustin Rogers, Chanda Scott, Christie Chapman, Jamie Carson; seven great grandchildren, Peyton Rogers, Adyson Scott, Briley Scott, Garrett Scott, Jackson Chapman, Carson Chapman, Jack R. Carson.
Funeral Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012 in the chapel of the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. Terry Powell and Bro. John Kyle Allred will officiate with burial to follow in the Kirksey Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, May 11, 2012 from 5:00 – 9:00 at the funeral home
