Gary Lloyd Crook, 74, of Murray died November 5, 2022, at Murray Calloway County Hospital surrounded by his family.
Gary was born on February 11, 1948, in Mississippi County, Missouri. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marilyn Taylor Crook. He also leaves behind two daughters, Stacey (Jason) Young of Benton and Robyn (Bryan) Brantley of Murray; three grandchildren, Taylor Young of Louisville, and Addison and Canyon McKinney of Murray; a sister, Gail Groves of Bertrand, Mo.
Gary founded West Kentucky Tractor Parts in Kevil in 1987 after a successful career as a sales representative for both Case International Harvester and John Deere in Southeast Missouri.
A lover of the outdoors, Gary spent much of his time on Kentucky Lake catching huge crappie and telling even larger tales. He enjoyed golfing and his annual trip to Florida with all his buddies. Gary was a friend to everyone – especially kids. While raising his girls in Missouri, you could often find him in the back yard leading a game of softball or shooting hoops with all the neighborhood kids.
In his retirement, Gary enjoyed spending extra time with his friends and family and his beloved German Shepherd Dog, Alex.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd (Bud) Crook and Edna Fussell.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., at Murray Memorial Gardens in Murray, Ky.
