Gary L. Ezell

Mr. Gary L. Ezell, age 74, of Murray, Kentucky died Thursday, June 3, 2021, at the Murray Calloway County Hospital.

Mr. Ezell was born on March 3, 1947, in Murray, Kentucky to the late Taz W. Ezell and Verlene (Osbron) Ezell. He retired from the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in the customer service department and was a member of the University Church of Christ. Mr. Ezell was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan , followed the Murray State Racers and Louisville Cardinals, loved to read and had a book collection that would rival any small library, was a history buff, (especially of the Civil War), and had a keen interest in anything political.

Survivors include one sister, Cynthia Hart and husband Dana Gish of Murray, Kentucky; as well as four cousins, Belinda J. Gibson and husband Rick of Benton, Kentucky, Phyllis Robinson of Kirksey, Kentucky, Debbie Dodds of Benton, Kentucky, and Randall Boggess and wife Linda of Paducah, Kentucky.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Charley Bazzell officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
